The Keyword Extractor and Analyzer (KEA) takes a text or a web page URL as input. The keywords in the text or web page are then extracted. The list of keywords can then be checked by you and submitted for ranking checks in the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, and MSN).

Keywords are a major tenet of search engine optimizations (SEO). Example uses of the KEA:
- Detect which keywords a web page is targetting. This is useful for competition analysis.
- Detect for which keywords a web page ranks highly for. To rephrase: given a web page, what search terms will find it?
